What representations are best for showing what features?

This morning my group had a discussion about which representations are best for showing which features. They had a really meaty discussion of the content with lots of examples from their classroom and how their kids relate to different representations. And they produced this amazing whiteboard! The black writing lists the features of energy scenarios that they came up with last year as part of the Algebra Project progression (did they remember this list, or look it up somewhere?), and the green writing lists the representations that would be best for each feature and how they show it. I really like that they say that theater shows the evidence because you can infer it from the type of energy.
