Some of the teachers in E1 have talked to me about wanting more practical application for their classroom. Specifically, they want to know about what students will do and think –they want the information on student misconceptions and typical reactions that occur when doing Energy Theater, etc. I thought that some of that need might be satisfied if Rachel gave her talk in E1 as well. This way, they can be ready for the variety of ontologies of energy that will surface in their classroom next year. Please correct me if I used ‘ontologies’ incorrectly!
Like we had discussed yesterday, a similar issue seems to be popping up around the energy project professional development courses. Last year, a bunch of scholars had a discussion about the "buy-in-behavior" of the teachers. I blogged about it, and Leslie commented on it here.
